Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans. (John Lennon)
I completed my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Rome, working on the locomotion of microorganism in low Reynolds number fluids with Roberto Di Leonardo in Rome and Eric Lauga at UC San Diego.
In 2013 I moved to Bristol for a Ph.D. with Jens Eggers and Tanniemola Liverpool on the Nonlinear Dynamics of Active Liquid Crystals.
In 2016 I trained as a horticulturist at the University of Bristol Botanic Gardens, obtaining qualifications from the Royal Horticultural Society.
In 2017 I trained as a secondary teacher at the University of Bristol.
Bertween 2019 and 2022 I worked as a Postdoc in the Micromotility group of the Living Systems Institute, where I work on the motion of ciliated microorganisms under the supervision of Kirsty Wan.
