I am an agroecologist, Market Gardener, and Educator

My work exists at the intersection of ecosystem dynamics, soil microbiology, and practical, human-scale farming. I explore ways to manage thriving, productive landscapes by mindfully engaging with natural processes—translating complex ecological observation into the daily reality of feeding a community.

My vision is to transition agriculture away from fragile, extractive models and build a future rooted in human-scale resilience.

Today, too many farms are forced to chase the illusions of massive scale and heavy mechanization. I believe in a different measure of success. I prioritize true efficiency: maximizing the well-being of the land, the health of the community, and the yield per unit of human energy.

Beyond the mere numbers of yield, my work is driven by a deeper inquiry: What does it mean for a human being to fulfill its ecological role—to be truly wild?

I do not view food as a mere commodity, nor farming as a simple transaction between producer and consumer. I want to serve as a catalyst for profound systemic change. Whether I am helping a self-reliant community reclaim absolute ownership over their food production, or guiding a commercial market garden to achieve true economic viability by cutting their dependence on fragile external inputs, my mission is the same: to design systems that return sovereignty to the people, helping individuals reconnect with the ecosystem they are part of.

A farm is not a factory; it is a highly complex, living system.

Managing it successfully requires more than just hard work or agronomic knowledge—it requires passionate and thorough observation.

Drawing from my past as a research scientist, I use the hard science of ecosystem dynamics, plant physiology, and soil microbiology to solve practical farming problems. However, this scientific rigor is always accompanied by the joy of experimenting with creative solutions, in the field and beyond.

For the projects I consult on and the students I teach, this blend of analytical and creative approaches means starting from a solid, deep understanding of how to build resilient, highly productive systems—while acknowledging, enjoying, and exploring all that we do not know.
